STIGA Cybershape Carbon Table Tennis Blade | Ping Pong Paddle - Unique Design for Larger Hitting Area & Increased Control - Competition Approved

A completely new type of blade with a unique shape and larger hitting area, the CYBERSHAPE DESIGN has been optimized to be 11% larger for the shakehand grip and 9% larger for the penhold grip compared to traditional paddles. The hitting area is as much as 6.5 cm closer to the table compared with 2.5 cm for a round blade, and thanks to its different angles, the player has six corners to choose from, depending on the type and amount of spin they want.

Since the majority of strokes of a professional player (both backhand and forehand) are made on the top half of the racket, the IMPROVED SWEET SPOT of the Cybershape excels in this area. The larger hitting area provides an improved sweet spot, making it easier for the player to control their short serves and returns.

Cybershape is a 5+2-ply blade based on CCF (Close Core Fiber) technology, which means that the carbon layer sits directly on top of the wood core. This CLOSE CORE FIBER results in more control and speed in the player's game. The advanced German-made carbon fiber allows for a larger hitting area, without additional weight. Specifications include a handle length of 3.9 inch (100 mm), playing surface of 5.9 inch (150 mm), thickness of 0.19 inch (5 mm), and weight of 85g +/-5g (3oz +/- 0.17oz).

In November 2021, Truls Moregardh started playing with STIGA's completely new and revolutionary Cybershape Carbon blade. That same year, the Cybershape Carbon took the Swede all the way to the World Championships in Texas, where he achieved the unbelievable feat of being the lowest-ranked player (a 77th-place finish) ever to reach the World Championships final, and finished the tournament ranked Number 4 in the world.
